Oklahoma City Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder is a professional basketball team located in Oklahoma City, United States. Formerly the Seattle SuperSonics, it was founded in 1966 and joined the National Basketball Association (NBA), belonging to the Northwest Division of the NBA Western Conference. The team played the first 50+ win season in the team's history in the 1978-79 season and won the first NBA championship in the team's history.
In 2008, the Seattle SuperSonics moved to Oklahoma City and changed its name to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder's home court is now located in the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City. The current owner is Clay Bennett and the head coach is Billy Donovan.
The Thunder has made some important achievements in NBA history. They have entered the NBA playoffs many times and reached the NBA Finals in 2012. In the 2011-12 season, the Thunder achieved brilliant results thanks to the outstanding performance of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden.
