Indiana Pacers


The Indiana Pacers, as a member of the Central Division of the Eastern Conference of the NBA, have been an important force in the league since its establishment in 1967. The team's history can be traced back to the ABA era, when they won three championships in 1970, 1972 and 1973. In 1976, with the merger of the ABA and the NBA, the Pacers became one of the four teams to join the NBA.

The Pacers reached their peak in the 1990s, winning 3 Eastern Conference championships and 1 NBA championship. Under the leadership of coach Larry Brown and "Big Bird" Larry Bird, the team reached the Eastern Conference Finals for two consecutive years in 1998 and 1999, and won the first Eastern Conference championship in team history in 2000.
In recent years, the Pacers have continued to remain competitive. They re-emerged in the 2010s and entered the playoffs many times. On November 22, 2023, the Pacers staged a scoring battle with the Hawks in the mid-season championship and finally won 157:152. The two sides scored a total of 309 points in four quarters, setting a record in nearly 32 years.
