New York Knicks


The New York Knicks, founded in 1946, is one of the founding teams of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Knicks initially joined the Basketball Association of the Americas (BAA, the predecessor of the NBA) and officially became a member of the NBA in 1949. The team is located in New York City, New York, and its home court is Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks are one of the two teams in NBA history that have never moved to a city, the other being the Boston Celtics. In the team's history, the Knicks have won two NBA championships, in 1970 and 1973.
