Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves is a professional basketball team located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. It was founded in 1989 and joined the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the same year. It is currently a participating team in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference. The team's home stadium is the Target Center.
In its debut season in 1989, the Timberwolves only achieved a record of 22 wins and 60 losses. Since then, the team has won less than 30 games in the regular season for seven consecutive years. However, the team made the playoffs for the first time in 1996, making a historic breakthrough. In the 2002-03 season, the Timberwolves achieved a record of 51 wins and 31 losses, which is the best record in the team's history. It is also the sixth consecutive year that the team has a winning rate of more than half and has appeared in the playoffs for the seventh consecutive year.
Famous figures of the Timberwolves include Kevin Garnett, Stephen Marbury, Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio. Among them, Kevin Garnett is one of the greatest stars in the team's history. He was selected with the fifth pick in the first round of the 1995 NBA draft and won the regular season MVP in the 2003-04 season.
In recent years, the Timberwolves have performed well in the 2023-24 season and entered the Western Conference Finals, the second Western Conference Finals in the team's history. The current head coach is Chris Finch.
